Terms and Conditions
Overview
The following sets out my Terms and Conditions including my cancellation policy.

I am a full member of the Association of Reflexologists (AoR). This demonstrates that I have a nationally recognised Diploma in Clinical Reflexology and am fully insured.

As an AoR member:
-
I am bound by the AoR Code of Practice and Ethics.
-
I follow the AoR Good Practice Policy and hygiene guidance to ensure client safety.
-
I will always be adequately insured for medical malpractice /professional indemnity requirements.
-
I comply with the AoR Continuing Professional Development requirements which ensures my practice is kept up to date.
-
I am compliant with GDPR data protection and am registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), please see my separate Privacy Policy. Your information will remain confidential at all times.
-
As a professional and highly qualified reflexologist with MAR status, I will provide you with appropriate bespoke treatment and support.
Attending Appointments
To support client and practitioner wellness I have the following health requests of my clients:

-
If you have a cough, a fever or loss of taste and smell or have been in touch with anyone with these symptoms, or you have flu-like symptoms, please contact me by text/WhatsApp message or email at the earliest opportunity prior to your appointment as we may need to postpone your appointment.
-
If you are scheduled to have a vaccination, for example flu or Covid-19 vaccinations, please leave at least 72 hours before attending a reflexology appointment.
In return I will apply these high standards to myself. Should I feel unwell, unable to treat or it is inadvisable for me to treat, I will explain the situation to you as soon as possible before your treatment.

Fees and Treatment Packages
My fees are payable in full in advance. Charges for the treatments I offer are:
-
Initial Consultation and Reflexology Treatment (75 minutes) £55
-
Subsequent Reflexology Treatment (60 minutes) £50
-
Initial Combined Reflexology Treatment with Reiki (75 minutes) £55
-
Subsequent Combined Reflexology with Reiki (60 minutes) £50
-
Reflexology Taster (45 minutes) £30
I reserve the right to use discretion regarding the application of any discounts.

I may offer options to book a package of treatments from time to time to be used within a specific time frame. These are provided at a reduced price as they are paid for as a block in advance. These treatments are non-refundable and can be booked during my normal clinic hours.

Cancellation Policy
I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. As my business is dependent on the number of clients I can treat during my clinic hours I request that you provide me with at least 24 hours notice if you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment. This will allow me the option to re-book the time slot with someone on my waiting list.
Less than 24 hours notice will result in a fair-use fee of 50% of the relevant treatment cost. This fee would need to be settled prior to any future bookings being made.
Gift Vouchers
I offer the option to buy digital or printed vouchers for treatments. These may be given as gifts and treatments can be booked during my normal clinic hours. These vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within 6 months of purchase.

Where an appointment is booked and missed, my cancellation policy above will apply and 50% of the treatment value will be deducted from the value remaining on the gift voucher.
Health Conditions and Contra-Indications
for Treatments
While reflexology is a safe and gentle holistic therapy, it is important to be aware of circumstances when it would not be suitable. These include:
-
Acute undiagnosed pain
-
Contagious or notifiable diseases
-
Deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) or pulmonary embolism
-
Diarrhoea, vomiting, fever or flu-like symptoms
-
Unhealed fractures
-
Gangrene
-
Recent haemorrhage
-
Organ transplants
-
Heart conditions that are not stable.

In some instances, if a condition is already being treated by a medical professional it is important to gain their consent for receiving reflexology treatments, for example in the cases of cancer, diabetes or heart/cardiovascular diseases. If you would like to discuss, please contact me prior to booking an appointment.
Please also notify me before your appointment if any of the following apply to you:
-
Allergies
-
Cellulitis
-
Epilepsy
-
Infectious skin conditions including impetigo, ringworm/tinea, athlete’s foot, verruca, scabies
-
High or low blood pressure, or varicose veins
-
Osteoporosis
Face Masks
I choose to use discretion regarding the wearing of face coverings. If you have any of the symptoms included in the Attending Appointments section above but after speaking we agree that you can attend your appointment I may ask that you wear a face mask. Likewise, I will apply the same requirements to myself in these instances.
Contacting Me
Should you need to reach me in between appointments, please contact me by mobile phone on 07771 735569 (text or WhatsApp message) or by email at hello@drlauralane.co.uk. My clinic hours are 9:00am – 6:00pm, Monday to Wednesday (evening/weekend appointments are available on request). I will do my best to respond to you as soon as possible and within one business day (24 hours).
Any text messages or emails to me related to your reflexology appointments are for quick questions with brief responses. If you would like to discuss something in more detail, I may request that we wait and discuss this at your next scheduled reflexology appointment.
